#Gate股票观点挑战 $UNITREE The Robot Revolution Has Entered the Stock Market

The Gate Square Stock Opinion Challenge is officially live, and today's topic is one of the most interesting names in the current robotics and AI investment story: $UNITREE.

Unitree Technology has just made a remarkable debut on China's Shanghai STAR Market, and the market reaction has been extraordinary. The stock was priced at RMB 150.80 in its IPO, but on the first trading day it surged as much as 629% to RMB 1,100 before cooling down. It ultimately closed around RMB 845, still approximately 460% above the IPO price.

That is not an ordinary IPO reaction.

It shows just how powerful the current investor enthusiasm around humanoid robots, physical AI and next-generation automation has become.

Why Is $UNITREE Getting So Much Attention?

Unitree is one of China's best-known robotics companies, founded in 2016 in Hangzhou. The company develops humanoid robots, quadruped robots and core robotics components, including motors, sensors and control systems.

Its robots have already attracted global attention through demonstrations involving walking, running, dancing, climbing and martial-arts-style movements.

But the bigger investment story is not simply about robots performing impressive demonstrations.

The real question is whether these machines can move from demonstrations into large-scale commercial and industrial applications.

That is where I believe the long-term opportunity — and the biggest risk — exists.

According to recent reports, Unitree generated approximately RMB 1.15 billion in revenue during the first half of 2026, representing around 48.5% year-over-year growth. The company also produced more than 5,500 humanoid robots in 2025, giving it a significant position in China's rapidly developing robotics industry.

This combination of revenue growth, production capability and technological visibility explains why investors are paying so much attention.

The IPO Reaction Was Extraordinary

The IPO itself was already highly anticipated.

Unitree raised approximately RMB 6.1 billion, or roughly $900 million, by selling about 10% of its enlarged capital. The initial IPO price was RMB 150.80.

Then trading began.

The shares immediately exploded higher, reaching RMB 1,100, representing a gain of more than 629% from the IPO price.

Although the stock eventually cooled to around RMB 845, that still represented approximately 460% growth on the first trading day.

For me, this is a perfect example of how powerful a hot investment narrative can become when AI + robotics + scarcity + investor demand come together.

But Here Is Where I Become Careful

A massive first-day rally does not automatically mean the stock is undervalued.

In fact, the opposite can be true.

After a move of hundreds of percent, valuation and expectations become extremely important.

The market is now pricing Unitree based not only on what the company earns today, but also on what investors believe it could become over the next several years.

That creates enormous upside potential — but also enormous downside risk if future growth does not meet expectations.

So my opinion is:

Bullish on the robotics industry.
Positive on Unitree's technology.
Very cautious about chasing an explosive IPO move.

My Long-Term View
I believe humanoid robotics could become one of the biggest technology themes of the next decade.

AI is no longer limited to software.

The next stage is physical AI — machines that can understand environments, move through real-world spaces, interact with objects and eventually perform useful tasks alongside humans.

That is where companies like Unitree become strategically important.

The global humanoid robotics market is still relatively young, meaning there is enormous room for growth.

But there is also a major challenge:
Can companies turn impressive prototypes into profitable mass-market products?

That is the test I will be watching most closely.

Unitree's Competitive Advantage

One of Unitree's biggest advantages is its experience with both humanoid and quadruped robots.

The company is not starting from zero.

Its existing products have already attracted attention internationally, and its manufacturing capabilities give it an opportunity to compete aggressively as demand for physical AI develops.

Recent reports also indicate that Chinese companies are currently leading global humanoid-robot production, with Unitree and other Chinese manufacturers accounting for a significant portion of shipments.

This gives Unitree an important first-mover position.

But competition will become intense.

Chinese robotics companies, U.S. technology companies and other international manufacturers are all investing heavily in this sector.

The winner may ultimately be the company that can deliver the best combination of:

Cost + reliability + intelligence + battery efficiency + manufacturing scale + real-world applications.

My Price View

Because $UNITREE has just entered public trading and experienced an extreme first-day move, I would be very careful about giving a traditional short-term price target.

The most important reference points for me are currently:

RMB 845 — recent closing level

RMB 1,100 — first-day intraday high

RMB 150.80 — IPO price

The distance between these levels tells the entire story.

The stock closed approximately 460% above the IPO price, meaning a huge amount of optimism is already reflected in the market valuation.

Therefore, I would not treat RMB 1,100 as a guaranteed next target.

Instead, I would watch whether the stock can establish a stable trading range after the initial excitement.

My Trading Plan

My approach would be patience rather than FOMO.

I would not enter aggressively simply because the stock has already demonstrated a 400%+ gain.

My preferred setup would be to wait for the market to establish a proper base.

If the stock stabilizes around the recent closing area and starts creating higher lows, that would make the structure more interesting.

If it eventually reclaims RMB 1,000, I would watch the previous intraday high around RMB 1,100 as the major breakout test.

A clean move above RMB 1,100 with strong volume could indicate that the market is entering another price-discovery phase.

On the other hand, if the stock falls sharply from the current levels, I would not immediately assume that the long-term story is broken. A newly listed stock that has risen several hundred percent can experience very large corrections simply because early investors are taking profits.

My Bullish Scenario

My bullish scenario is straightforward.

If Unitree continues reporting strong revenue growth, expands production, improves robot capabilities and successfully converts demonstrations into commercial deployments, I believe the long-term investment story can become much stronger.

In the short term, I would want to see:

Stable price structure → higher lows → stronger volume → reclaim of key resistance → new high

If that sequence develops, momentum could return.

My Bearish Scenario

The biggest risk is valuation becoming disconnected from fundamentals.

A stock rising hundreds of percent in a single session creates enormous expectations.

If revenue growth slows, commercialization takes longer than expected, competition increases or regulatory restrictions reduce access to important markets, the valuation could face significant pressure.

Another major issue is the U.S. market.

Recent reporting says the U.S. Federal Communications Commission has restricted imports of new foreign-made humanoid and quadruped robots on national-security grounds, and Unitree has warned that this could affect future U.S. sales.

That does not destroy the global opportunity, but it is an important risk that investors should monitor.

My Advice to Traders

My biggest advice is do not confuse a spectacular IPO with a guaranteed investment opportunity.

The stock has already demonstrated extraordinary momentum.

That means both opportunity and risk are elevated.

If you are already holding from the IPO allocation, your situation is completely different from someone buying after a 460% first-day gain.

For existing holders, profit management becomes extremely important.

For new traders, I would rather wait for price discovery to settle and look for a clear structure.

For momentum traders, a confirmed breakout above the first-day high could become interesting, but position sizing should remain controlled.

And for long-term investors, I would focus less on the excitement surrounding the robot demonstrations and more on revenue, margins, production scale, recurring demand and commercial adoption.

My Final Opinion

$UNITREE represents something bigger than one company's stock performance.

It represents the growing transition from AI software to physical AI.

The market has already shown how much excitement exists around this theme.

A stock priced at RMB 150.80 opened dramatically higher, reached RMB 1,100, and still finished its first session around RMB 845.

That tells me investors are willing to pay a substantial premium for exposure to the future of robotics.

I am optimistic about the long-term robotics trend, but after such an explosive debut, I would personally prioritize confirmation and risk management over chasing the first major move.

The next chapter will be much more important than the IPO day.

Can Unitree turn its technology into mass production?

Can humanoid robots generate sustainable commercial revenue?

Can the company expand internationally despite regulatory challenges?

And most importantly:

Can the fundamentals eventually grow into the valuation the market is currently pricing in?

That is what I will be watching.

For me, $UNITREE is a high-potential, high-volatility robotics story. The technology is exciting, the industry opportunity is enormous, and the IPO performance has proved that investor demand is already extremely strong.

But the smartest approach after a historic first-day rally is not FOMO.

Watch the structure. Watch the fundamentals. Watch the volume. Manage the risk.

The robot revolution may only be getting started — but as traders, we still need to choose our entries carefully.
