‍A Sudden Shift in Stance! Trump Backtracks and Denies U.S.-Iran Talks, While UAE Detects Iranian Missiles Same Day

On Tuesday local time, U.S. President Donald Trump suddenly changed his position on the social media platform Truth Social, denying that any U.S.-Iran negotiation process exists. He publicly stated that the United States is currently conducting no negotiations or dialogue with Iran and has no plans to do so in the future. This statement was completely contrary to his previous position, drawing widespread attention to the U.S.-Iran situation.

Just over two weeks ago, Trump still insisted that the United States and Iran were actively negotiating, and even denounced Iran’s denial of the talks as “a two-faced act.” Iran, for its part, has consistently maintained a firm stance, repeatedly denying any negotiations or contacts with the United States. Trump’s latest reversal also confirmed Iran’s earlier claims.

Meanwhile, Trump again sent signals aimed at calming the situation, stressing that the U.S. maritime blockade of Iran remained fully in effect, the Strait of Hormuz was completely open and operating normally, and all mines in the area had been cleared or detonated, in an attempt to ease market concerns over the Middle East shipping crisis.

However, tensions did not ease, with new developments emerging in the Middle East on Tuesday evening. The UAE Ministry of Defense announced that the country’s air defense systems had successfully detected two ballistic missiles launched from Iran. Monitoring data showed that the first missile fell outside UAE territorial waters, while the second landed directly within UAE territorial waters, pushing regional military risks higher once again.

The rapidly shifting positions of the United States and Iran over just a few days, combined with the missile activity, have made the already delicate geopolitical situation in the Middle East even more complex. The future direction of negotiations and the regional security situation are drawing close global attention.
