Liquidity Doesn’t Always Need More DEXs
One thing I’ve been noticing in DeFi is that more DEXs don’t always mean better liquidity.
On networks like Ethereum and Solana, liquidity is spread across countless platforms, which can divide users, volume, and capital between too many markets.
TON is taking a different approach.
STONFI and DeDust have become two major liquidity hubs, and I don’t think they need to be viewed simply as competitors. Each platform serves different parts of the ecosystem and contributes to TON’s overall liquidity.
DeDust has built a strong presence around retail trading, memecoins, and fast-moving token launches.
STONFI on the other hand, has developed a more infrastructure-focused approach, with an emphasis on liquidity, execution, and broader DeFi functionality.
And this is where Omniston becomes interesting. Instead of limiting users to liquidity from a single venue, it can help route swaps across available liquidity sources to improve execution.
The bigger picture is simple:
Liquidity attracts liquidity.
A newcomer can launch another DEX, but pulling meaningful users and capital away from established liquidity hubs requires serious incentives.
For TON, having a few strong liquidity centers may actually be more efficient than having dozens of smaller venues fighting over the same capital.
That’s why I see STONFI as more than just another DEX. It is increasingly becoming part of the infrastructure connecting liquidity, traders, and the wider TON ecosystem.
