【BTC Short-term Outlook: CPI Data Coming Soon, Final Defense Line at $70,000】

Currently, Bitcoin is trading within a narrow range of $69,500-$70,200, having pulled back from a high of $71,748 within 24 hours. The market is focused on tonight’s CPI data, which is expected to show an annual rate of 2.4%. This key inflation indicator will directly determine the short-term breakout direction.

Looking at the chart, the $70,000 level remains a critical battleground for bulls and bears: on one hand, institutions continue to support the market through ETFs; on the other hand, short-term selling pressure still needs to be absorbed. If the CPI comes in below expectations, it could stimulate BTC to test the previous high; if it exceeds expectations, traders should be cautious of a rapid plunge.
