When your account is small, the biggest mistake is “trying to grow it fast.” Doubling 100U only gets you 100U; even a tenfold gain gets you just 1000U, but you’re risking blowing up your account. At this stage, the priority isn’t making money—it’s staying in the game. ① First, accept that you’re here to pay tuition. The greatest value of 100U isn’t how much you can earn, but the discipline you build by practicing with real money. Don’t trade with the mindset of “I need to make my money back.” Trade with the mindset of “I’m going to practice for three months without getting wiped out.” ② Leverage is a tool, not an accelerator. 20x doesn’t mean you should take a bigger position; it means you can use less margin to hold the same position. Keep your nominal position at no more than 3 times your account (with 100U, take a 300U position). That way, if the price moves 5%, you lose only 15U and still have another trade. ③ Risk 1-2U per trade; don’t risk more. With a 100U account, losing 1U per trade means you can be wrong 50 times in a row. That’s not being conservative—it’s giving yourself time to learn. It only takes one loss to wipe you out; learning takes many tries. ④ Stick to major coins; stay away from altcoins. Small accounts are easiest to lure in with “100x coins.” Altcoin slippage and sudden wicks are out to kill small accounts—you think you’re trading, but you’re really giving money to market makers. BTC/ETH/SOL are enough. ⑤ Make just one trade a day, then stop. Frequent trading is what small accounts should fear most. Fees may seem insignificant, but if a 100U account makes 10 trades a day, monthly fees can eat up 20% of it. Trading less is the cheapest form of risk management. ⑥ Use a fixed amount, not a fixed percentage. When you have 100U, a 2% loss is 2U; with 1000U, a 2% loss is 20U. It feels completely different. First, fix how much you’re willing to lose per trade (say, 1U), and adjust only after your account grows. ⑦ Recording every trade matters more than making money. After 100 trades, you’ll see the truth: maybe only 20 of them made money, while the rest were just impulsive trades. That realization is worth more than 1000U. The right path for a small account: 100U → practice your rules (3 months without getting liquidated) → 200U (rules take hold) → 500U (you start getting a feel for it) → use your profits to try larger positions. Those who skip steps end up back where they started. $BTC $ETH #70%山寨币跌破200日均线 #Gate pioneered proof of fund security
