🔱【Exposing One Coin a Day · Episode 53】A cold-blooded look at the last frenzy of a “zombie asset”: ONE surged 70% intraday, but behind it lies the market makers’ final meat-grinder trap!

Given Harmony (ONE)’s extreme price action today (November 7)—surging over 70% intraday amid fierce liquidations of long and short positions—is this once 100x blockchain about to recover? Can buying the dip now get you to 0.006? Take it from a veteran: completely abandon your spot-market fantasy of a “blockchain recovery”! This surge is no value discovery; it’s a classic cycle of high-leverage short liquidations (a short squeeze) triggered by “liquidity drying up” on exchanges combined with the “network shutdown.”

Today, we’ll use the coldest order-book and fund-flow data to strip this zombie project bare and lay out a clear defense guide for everyone!

🔍 Part One: Fundamental Countdown to Extinction—Fake AI Pivot and Hackers’ Final Blow

Harmony’s once-famous narrative as a “sharded, high-performance EVM Layer 1 blockchain” is officially dead. Under the crushing competition from parallel EVMs and high-performance Move-based blockchains, its ecosystem and total value locked have long since fallen to zero.

The project team is now carrying out a brutal shutdown script:

Completely shutting down the old chain (November 18 deadline): The team announced that it will permanently shut down the original independent blockchain’s block explorer on November 18, 2026. On-chain holders have just 11 days left to export historical data and manage their assets!

Fleeing to Ethereum: The native token ONE will be converted entirely into an ERC20 asset on the Ethereum network via a snapshot. Some well-known exchanges have already announced that they have completed the migration and disabled deposits and withdrawals on the old chain.

Clinging to the AI video narrative: The team claims that after the migration, it will pivot to a decentralized AI-generated video creator platform.

A devastating hack: In addition to the 2022 theft of 100 million in assets by North Korean hackers, the most devastating blow was a malicious minting attack on August 11, 2026, in which hackers minted 4 billion ONE out of thin air! The team took the highly controversial step of forcibly erasing 109,000 transactions through a “code rollback,” and admitted in an announcement that the cost and difficulty of continuing to defend the old chain had exceeded its limits.

🔍 Part Two: Short Squeeze Under a “Liquidity Vacuum”

Why does panic-driven withdrawal make it easier for market makers to “maliciously squeeze shorts”? This is the most brutal order-book battle:

Extremely low cost to pump the price: As the November 18 deadline approaches, retail investors are rushing to withdraw their spot holdings to personal wallets for fear of their assets being wiped out. This instantly drains exchange spot inventories (order-book depth). In a vacuum order book with extremely thin sell orders, market makers need only a tiny amount of spot buying to push the price up by more than 30% in an instant.

A chain reaction from the liquidation engine: With massive fundamental headwinds, retail investors and quantitative bots across the market have piled in to short rallies. Market makers use their spot-market dominance to give the price a gentle push. Once the first batch of high-leverage shorts is wiped out, the exchange’s liquidation engine is triggered automatically, leading to an explosive, volume-less “vertical takeoff.”

An astonishing repetition across market cycles:
September 17–22 replay: Shorts were overloaded, and market makers lit the fuse at the low of 0.000613, violently squeezing the price 10x to 0.0064039. After shorts were wiped out, the market immediately fell into a prolonged downtrend.
November 5–7 replay: The price slid all the way down to the weekly low of 0.0010251. Panic withdrawals overloaded the short side again. Market makers reused the same trick, violently pumping the price to today’s (November 7) high of 0.001967 in 40 hours. The current price is fluctuating wildly around 0.0018477.

🛑 Is it worth buying spot and betting on the long term?

Conclusion: Absolutely not—your position must be 0%! ONE is a textbook “damaged zombie asset.” The odds of returning to the previous high around 0.006 are virtually zero: September’s massive pump left a huge amount of underwater holders between 0.0043 and 0.0064. With the project team crippling itself and no major outside capital coming in, market makers will absolutely not spend real money to play “saviors.” After the network shuts down on November 18 and the snapshot settlement is complete, bullish fuel will be entirely exhausted. Never put any faith in it. Its only value right now is as a short-term target for quick in-and-out derivatives trades!

🛠️ Ultimate trading strategy:

Never take a large position; never hold through a loss!

🏛️ Three structural ceilings

First ceiling: 0.001967–0.0021.
Second ceiling: 0.00266–0.0028.
Third ceiling (mathematically impossible zone): 0.00343.

If Plan One gets stopped out, exit first and wait for Plan Two’s entry point. Do not hold through a loss or add to the position!

🎟️ Plan One: Entry zone: around 0.001863

Stop-loss: 0.002127.

Take-profit levels in stages:
TP1: 0.001633 (close 50% unconditionally to secure profits; move the stop on the remaining position to breakeven)
TP2: 0.001427 (close 30%)
TP3: 0.001063 (close the entire position)

🎟️ Plan Two:
Entry zone: 0.002674 to 0.002732. If the initial position is unfortunately stopped out, do not add to it in place or hold through the loss—exit immediately! Patiently wait for the liquidation engine to suck the price up to the second ceiling. Once the first high-volume bearish candle closes on the 15-minute or 1-hour timeframe, strike decisively from the right side of the chart.

Stop-loss: 0.002863.

Take-profit levels in stages:
TP1: 0.001963 (close 50% unconditionally to lock in profits; set a breakeven stop on the remaining position)
TP2: 0.001533 (close 30%)
TP3: 0.001063 (exit the entire position)
