Two years ago, a follower entered with 1000U, hoping to double it in three days. After a week, he had 400U left. Later, he fixed six bad habits one by one and grew his account to 6800U in two months.

His strategy didn’t change; only his habits did. First, position sizing. He went all-in with 1000U right away. When he won, he thought he was a genius; when he lost, it hit his principal hard.
He switched to 200 to 300U per trade and locked up the rest. Next, the market. He wanted to chase every hot trend, even though he didn’t really understand them.
He now only trades when all three conditions are met: clear support and resistance, alignment with the higher-timeframe trend, and a risk-reward ratio of at least 2:1. If even one is missing, he stays out. The market is open every day; there’s no need to trade every day.
Third, stop-losses. He wouldn’t admit when he was wrong, adding to losing positions to average down and digging himself deeper. Now he sets a stop-loss before entering and cuts the trade if it loses 2% to 3% (20 to 30U).
Fourth, adding to positions. He used to add heavily as soon as he was in profit, and keep adding when he was losing. Now he moves his stop-loss up first to protect profits, adds a little to a winning position if the trend holds, and cuts back immediately if it weakens.
Fifth, increasing position size. When his account reached 3000U, he got carried away and added 1,000 to 2,000U at a time. Now he can increase to 800 to 1000U, but he never changes his 2% to 3% risk limit.
Sixth, withdrawals. When the numbers looked good, he treated the money as his own, then gave it all back in a single drawdown. Now, once his account grows to 3000U, he withdraws 500U first. Put simply, luck can help you go from 1000U to 10kU a few times; the rest comes down to discipline. Compounding in a nutshell: use profits to take risks, but don’t gamble your principal.
