CFTC abolishes the 1998 “no denial” policy, following the direction of SEC reforms

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) announced on June 4 that it will abolish the “No-Deny” policy, which had been in effect since 1998. The policy previously required defendants, when reaching enforcement settlements with the CFTC, not to publicly deny the regulator’s allegations. In its statement, the CFTC said the policy “may create the mistaken impression that the Commission is trying to protect itself from criticism,” and therefore decided to cancel it. China's SHIBOR Rates: 7-Day Rate Rises 0.1bp to 1.3480%

China's Shanghai Interbank Offered Rate (SHIBOR) for overnight loans stood at 1.3160% on June 4, unchanged from the previous day. The 7-day SHIBOR rose 0.1 basis point to 1.3480%, while the 3-month SHIBOR declined 0.2 basis points to 1.4015%.
