Sberbank is preparing loans secured by Bitcoin and Ethereum
Sberbank, Russia’s largest bank, is preparing to expand its lineup of cryptoasset-backed lending products. According to the Russian news agency TASS, Anatoly Popov, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank, said the bank would accept Ethereum ($ETH) and Tether ($USDT) as collateral for loans, supplementing its existing Bitcoin ($BTC)-backed offerings.
