MoonPay has received a money transmitter license in Wisconsin

Highlights: MoonPay has received state approval to provide crypto services in local markets. The license promotes a streamlined and regulated digital payment structure. Enhanced compliance increases confidence in more secure cryptocurrency transactions. This move foreshadows a future where digital finance will interoperate with traditional systems. MoonPay, a crypto-payment platform, has received a Money Transfer License (MTL) from the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions, allowing it to expand its operations in the state. We gotta get 'em all! With this license, Wisconsin residents can now use MoonPay services, including top-ups, without additional fees. The #MTL strengthens MoonPay's compliance with U. S. regulations as the company expands its presence in the country. MoonPay co-founder and CEO Ivan Soto-Wright said: Obtaining an MTL in Wisconsin strengthens our market position as a fully regulated platform and reaffirms our commitment to strict compliance. Wisconsin, known for its agricultural industry and growing interest in #blockchain technology, became the first U. S. state to buy #bitcoin last year. With this license, MoonPay will now be able to more effectively offer its crypto-payment services in the region. The money transfer license allows MoonPay to legally offer money transfer services in Wisconsin, ensuring compliance with state regulations. With the addition of Wisconsin, MoonPay has received 46 MTL licenses across the U. S. , demonstrating its ability to operate in multiple markets and meet regulatory requirements nationwide. In January, MoonPay acquired Helio, a #Solana blockchain-based payment processor, for $175 million. Helio facilitates payments in USDC, SOL, BTC and ETH for e-commerce, digital subscriptions and online merchandise. Read us at: Compass Investments
