OpenAI may go bankrupt in 2024, ChatGPT spends about $700,000 a day on average

According to a report by Fast Technology on August 13, according to a report recently released by Analytics India Magazine, the ChatGPT service consumes about $700,000 a day. While OpenAI has been trying to make money with GPT-3.5 and GPT-4, it hasn't been able to generate enough revenue yet to break even. While the prospects for commercialization revenue are not ideal, ChatGPT’s user base is also gradually declining. In July, the product’s user base dropped by 12%, from 1.7 billion to 1.5 billion.

In addition, the generative artificial intelligence launched by other manufacturers and some open source models have also had a certain impact on the OpenAI market. Under the combined impact of these factors, if there is no more capital injection, OpenAI is likely to be forced to file for bankruptcy before the end of 2024.
