China Futures Fall Broadly at Midday Close; Shipping Futures Down 6%, Palladium Up 4%

At midday close on September 3, China's futures main contracts fell more broadly than they rose. Shipping futures on European routes dropped over 6%, with fuel oil down over 4%, plywood, coking coal, and lithium carbonate each declining over 3%. Palladium led gainers, rising over 4%, followed by ferrosilicon, platinum, and silver futures each up over 2%.
