WHEAT-2.90%
According to Reuters, citing three trading sources, Asian wheat importers have recently purchased at least 500,000 tons of Australian and Argentine wheat. The purchases aim to fill supply gaps caused by shipping and port disruptions affecting Black Sea grain exports. Major importers including Indonesia, the world's second-largest wheat importer, are accepting a significant price premium for the alternative supplies to secure adequate domestic grain availability.
