Mastercard Completes BVNK Acquisition for Up to $1.8 Billion

According to Odaily, Mastercard has completed its acquisition of stablecoin payments company BVNK, integrating its on-chain settlement and wallet infrastructure into its global network. The deal, announced in March with an estimated valuation of up to $1.8 billion including $300 million in contingent payments, aims to support banks in connecting customer accounts with digital wallets and enable payment service providers with 24/7 merchant settlement capabilities. Founded in 2021, BVNK provides infrastructure for enterprises to send, receive, store, and convert funds between traditional currencies and blockchain networks.
