According to Citic Securities, South Korea's retail leverage deleveraging accelerated on July 31, with margin financing balances contracting 10% in a single day, marking the largest daily decline for the year. The liquidation rate remained elevated at 7%-8%, significantly above the 1% level seen during normal market conditions, with forced liquidation volumes exceeding 1 trillion Korean won on July 30-31.
