According to Einfomax, U.S. stock markets closed mixed on August 5, with the Dow Jones climbing 0.49% to a record closing high following five consecutive days of gains, while the S&P 500 fell 0.17% and the Nasdaq declined 0.83%, ending a four-day rally. The 10-year Treasury yield fell 6 basis points to 4.62%, and the dollar weakened as expectations for a Strait of Hormuz reopening supported commodity prices. WTI crude oil declined 0.73% to $75.22 per barrel.
