According to Yonhapnews, on July 25, Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Jung Euiseon met NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang in San Francisco and announced a strategic shift toward artificial intelligence, robotics, and energy solutions. By 2030, Hyundai will invest 125.2 trillion Korean won domestically, with over 50 trillion won allocated to future businesses beyond traditional automotive manufacturing.
The group unveiled a separate 9 trillion won investment plan for South Korea's Saemangeum region to develop an AI valley featuring data centers, robotics manufacturing clusters, hydrogen production facilities, and solar infrastructure. Huang confirmed his support for the Saemangeum project.
