According to investment banks, Korea Electric Power Corporation on August 4 completed a bond issuance totaling 10.7 trillion won through bidding, with maturities of 2 years 9 months and 3 years at 4.065% and 4.105% respectively. The same day, Korea Housing Finance Corporation's mortgage-backed securities (MBS) also achieved full sales across all maturity segments, including strong demand for the previously weak 5-year tranche. These developments reflect improved market conditions, as the 3-year government bond yield fell 27 basis points to 3.677%, while easing geopolitical tensions and currency stabilization reduced hedging pressures.
