U.S. Distillate Exports Hit Record 1.9M bpd Last Week; Inventories Fall to 1996 Low

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), distillate fuel exports reached a record 1.9 million barrels per day last week, surpassing the previous peak set in May. Distillate fuels include diesel, heating oil, and related products. Concurrently, domestic distillate inventories declined to their lowest level for this time of year since 1996 on a seasonally adjusted basis.

U.S. distillate exports have exceeded 1.5 million barrels per day for five consecutive weeks, as global demand continues to strain supplies amid geopolitical disruptions affecting traditional producers.
