Two Sigma Thwarts Recent Voice Phishing Attack Targeting Investment Firms

According to Bloomberg, Two Sigma, which manages $75 billion in assets, said it successfully thwarted a recent voice phishing attack targeting the firm and other investment management companies. A Two Sigma spokesperson stated: "Our security team quickly responded to the voice phishing attack. There is currently no indication that our data or systems were compromised. We will continue to monitor the situation closely." Point72 and Citadel declined to comment on whether attackers successfully breached their systems. The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), which oversees brokers and securities professionals, has been in contact with member firms regarding the incident.
