U.S. Private Employment Rose 44,000 in July, Fell Short of 70,000 Forecast

According to ADP, U.S. private employment in July increased by 44,000, significantly missing the market forecast of 70,000. Service sector employment grew by 47,000, while goods-related employment declined by 3,000. ADP Chief Economist Nella Richardson noted that job switchers saw wage gains at the fastest pace in nearly a year year-over-year, indicating supply constraints in certain labor market segments.
