According to Reuters citing vessel tracking firm Kpler, on August 4, only 8 vessels transited the Strait of Hormuz, including 5 tankers and 3 bulk carriers, roughly flat compared to the previous day. The figure represents a sharp decline from the pre-conflict average of 130 to 140 vessels daily. Shipping through the strategic waterway has transitioned from near-total suspension to limited recovery, though commercial transit volumes remain significantly below normal levels.
