Alteogen Surges 28.8% in 4 Trading Days on $365.5M Tech Deal and Keytruda Beat

According to Korean Exchange data, Alteogen, KOSDAQ's largest-cap stock by market value, rose 3.75% on August 5 to 277,000 won. Adjusted for dividend distribution, the stock gained 28.8% over 4 consecutive trading days through August 5.

The surge was driven by a new technology licensing deal and stronger-than-expected product sales. Alteogen announced an exclusive licensing agreement with a global pharmaceutical company for its ALT-B4 platform technology, enabling subcutaneous formulation development of a biopharmaceutical, with maximum contract value of $365.5 million including upfront payments and milestone fees. In the second quarter, MSD's Keytruda Qurexs generated $463 million in sales—triple the prior quarter and 64% above Wall Street consensus of $283 million, according to MSD's latest earnings call.
