South Korea Establishes 1 Trillion Won AI Infrastructure Fund on August 5

According to BlockBeats, South Korea's Ministry of Science and Technology and Industrial Bank of Korea signed a cooperation agreement on August 5, jointly establishing a 1 trillion won AI Infrastructure Fund dedicated to next-generation AI data centers and energy infrastructure. The fund aims to identify and invest in quality AI infrastructure projects.

The collaboration marks the two institutions' first joint investment in roughly 20 years, following their 2006 partnership on infrastructure projects including Ulsan Science and Technology University and Incheon International Airport Railway.
