Uber Issues Q3 Guidance Below Expectations, Bookings Forecast at $59.25B vs $59.33B Analyst Estimate

According to CNBC citing LSEG, Uber issued third-quarter bookings and earnings guidance that fell short of analyst expectations on August 5. The company forecast Q3 bookings of $59.25 billion at the midpoint, trailing the $59.33 billion StreetAccount average estimate, and projected earnings per share of 84 to 88 cents, below the 89-cent consensus, according to LSEG.

Uber's second-quarter earnings met expectations, with EPS of 81 cents versus 81 cents expected and revenue of $14.19 billion versus $14.24 billion forecast. Mobility gross bookings climbed 22% year-over-year to $28.99 billion, while delivery bookings increased 26% to $27.46 billion.
