UK Services PMI Hits 52.1 in July, Expanding for First Time Since April

According to S&P Global, the United Kingdom's services sector purchasing managers index (PMI) for July came in at a final reading of 52.1, exceeding both the preliminary estimate of 51.8 and the previous month's 48.8. This marks the first month of expansion since April. The composite PMI also rose to 52.2 from 49.3 in June, surpassing the 50 threshold that distinguishes economic expansion from contraction.
