Michael Burry Exits MSFT, Closes ORCL Short Position on Tuesday

According to a trading update on his Substack page, Michael Burry on Tuesday sold Microsoft shares, closed his short position in Oracle, and reduced his bearish bet in Palantir stock. Burry stated he exited the MSFT position after benefiting from "lucky timing," noting his enthusiasm for Microsoft's earnings did not match the market's. Microsoft reported strong Q4 results last week with revenue up 19% and Azure Cloud sales climbing 43%, sending the stock up over 25% in four sessions. On Palantir, Burry let his January put options expire but maintained his direct short position despite the company's second-quarter sales nearly doubling to $1.94 billion, with commercial and government sales surging 149% and 90% respectively.
