According to the Korea Digital Daily, Apple recently attempted to negotiate lower prices for LPDDR5X DRAM chips from ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) for next-generation iPhones and smart devices, but the company rejected the requests. ChangXin has maintained pricing at levels comparable to or higher than those offered by Samsung and SK Hynix, breaking Apple's typical cost negotiation advantage as an end-device manufacturer. Chinese terminal companies including Huawei and Xiaomi have locked in substantial production capacity from ChangXin through long-term contracts, providing stable pricing support for the domestic market.
