According to TradingBeats, on August 5, a new address shorted 1,600 BTC using 40x leverage with an average entry price of $64,202.4, creating a position worth approximately $102 million. The address has placed eight stop-loss buy orders to cover the entire short, with the first stop-loss set at $64,868, covering 200 BTC worth roughly $12.97 million. Notably, this first stop-loss price is only $23.5 below the liquidation price of $64,891.5, representing less than 0.04% buffer. If BTC continues rising, the address plans to close 12.5% of the position before liquidation, with subsequent stop-losses stepping up to as high as $67,023. At press time, BTC was trading near $64,202, leaving the short position near breakeven.
