Cherry Studio Launches Version 2.0 With Over 1 Million Lines of Code Rewritten and New Agent Mode

According to Beating, Cherry Studio released version 2.0 today, a major update to its multi-model AI desktop client. The team rewrote the underlying architecture, interface, and data system, with over 1 million lines of code modified across the update. The new version is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux, with 1.x users able to upgrade directly.

The release introduces Agent mode, enabling users to integrate tools like Claude Code and Codex for research, documentation, presentations, data analysis, and code modification. The built-in runtime environment eliminates the need for separate dependency installations. Version 2.0 also adds multi-window support, split-screen functionality, local knowledge base integration, and improvements to long conversations, large folder imports, and history loading.

GATE is indeed easy to use, with a simple interface and a rich selection of cryptocurrencies and stock tokens. The buying, selling, deposit, and withdrawal processes need to be made more convenient. Email verification codes are sufficient for deposits, withdrawals, and fund access; Google Authenticator and phone verification must not be mandatory and should only be optional!
