According to Iranian officials and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on August 5, U.S. intervention and military threats from President Trump have prevented Iran and Oman from reaching an agreement on the Hormuz Strait. Iran stated that any deal remains impossible as long as the U.S. continues its interference and military threats.
