China Imposes Countermeasures Against U.S. Compliance Testing Companies Effective August 5

According to the Ministry of Commerce, China announced countermeasures against U.S. compliance testing companies effective August 5, 2026. The decision was approved by the National Counter-Foreign Sanctions Coordination Mechanism. China stated that U.S. compliance testing companies assisted the U.S. Federal Communications Commission in taking measures that harm Chinese enterprises' legitimate rights and jeopardize China's sovereignty, security, and development interests.
