According to South Korea's presidential office, President Lee Jae-myung will convene the second private-government joint review meeting on August 10 to assess progress on the Three Mega Projects. The initiative aims to expand advanced semiconductor manufacturing to the Honam, Chungcheong, and Yeongnam regions. Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix have each committed to investing 400 trillion won in Honam for semiconductor production facilities. The meeting will focus on land acquisition, infrastructure planning, and regulatory coordination to accelerate implementation.
