Analysis: 71.9% of Top 100 Tokens Classified as 'Operationally Dead', 84.7% Expected to Die Within 10 Years

According to CryptoRank, on August 5, analysis of 1,539 tokens that once entered the top 100 by market capitalization found that 71.9% have been classified as 'operationally dead,' defined as delisting from major exchanges with trading volumes below $10,000 for over 90 consecutive days.

The research estimates that approximately 62% of top 100 tokens lose activity within 5 years, with the projected death rate reaching 84.7% after 10 years. The median token lifespan is 2 years and 4 months.
