Sanae Takashi is basically confirmed to be elected as Japan's new Prime Minister

GateNews

Odaily Planet Daily reports that on February 18th, local time, in the first round of the Japanese House of Representatives Prime Minister nomination election, Liberal Democratic Party President Sanae Takaichi received more than half of the votes and won the election. A subsequent election will be held for the Senate Prime Minister nomination. Due to Japan’s constitutional stipulation that the House of Representatives election results have “priority,” it can be confirmed that Sanae Takaichi will become Japan’s Prime Minister. (CCTV)
