Qatar partners with Microsoft to build AI systems for the government

Qatar is collaborating with Microsoft to launch the “AI Agent Factory,” a new digital platform aimed at widespread artificial intelligence application in government services. The initiative, led by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Qatar (MoCI), aims to modernize administrative machinery, improve operational efficiency, and simplify interactions between citizens, businesses, and government agencies. Built on Microsoft’s technology infrastructure, this platform allows agencies to develop and deploy intelligent AI agents capable of processing records, answering queries, and automating many routine tasks without lengthy IT development cycles.

Officials stated that the AI Agent Factory will easily integrate with existing systems and support the deployment of AI services across multiple ministries and sectors. This is a next step in Qatar’s long-term AI strategy, aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030, amid the Gulf countries competing for leadership in AI.
