The U.S. Senate failed to move forward with the appropriations bill, and the federal government is once again facing a "shutdown" crisis

Techub News reported that according to Xinhua News Agency, the U.S. Senate failed to advance the government appropriations bill passed by the House of Representatives in a procedural vote on the 29th, and the U.S. federal government is once again facing a crisis of partial "shutdown". The Senate voted 55 against and 45 in favor that day, and the bill failed to get the 60 votes needed to move forward. All Democratic senators voted against it, and several Republican senators also voted against. \n\n\nSeveral federal departments in the United States will run out of operating funds on January 30. Currently, lawmakers from both parties are still engaged in tense negotiations to avoid a "shutdown". Senate Republican Leader John Thune previously said he was considering potentially "divesting" funds allocated to the Department of Homeland Security from the appropriations bill and discussing them separately. Earlier this month, law enforcement officers from a Department of Homeland Security agency shot and killed two U.S. citizens during a law enforcement operation against illegal immigrants in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Senate Democrats then said they would vote against a government appropriations bill that included funding for the Department of Homeland Security.
