Bloomberg: Discord has secretly filed for an IPO

Foresight News reports, according to Bloomberg, that chat platform Discord has secretly filed for an initial public offering, sources familiar with the matter said. The discussions are still ongoing, and the company may ultimately decide not to go public. As the information has not been publicly disclosed, these sources requested anonymity.

Discord was founded in 2015 and offers voice, video, and text chat features. Its core platform is free to use, while the paid Nitro subscription product provides more advanced streaming and customization features. Although Discord was initially designed for gamers, users have also created servers on various topics, such as voice acting, investing, and community radio.
