The Israeli military claims to have killed a senior Hamas commander in southern Gaza.

On August 15, Jin10 reported that the Israeli military released the latest battle situation report, stating that the Israel Defense Forces launched an attack in the Khan Younis area of southern Gaza on the 15th, killing Nasir Musa, the head of the Hamas military control forces and a member of the Hamas Rafah Brigade. The military stated that the attack occurred on August 9 and was carried out by aircraft targeting the objective. Musa served as the head of Hamas's "control department," responsible for the readiness and exercises of armed personnel, and also held positions in intelligence and surveillance within the Rafah Brigade.
