I used to be really scared of transferring data; my photos were in iCloud, documents in Google Drive, and NFT images were on the IPFS link, which could go down any day. Every time I changed my phone, it felt like moving a digital home, and I jokingly called myself a "cloud refugee". Later, a friend showed me @irys_xyz, saying this is not the cloud, but the "data chain"—data is born, verified, stored, and moved all in one place. After trying it out, I understood that my NFT images, profit-sharing logic, and AI-generated records could all be tied together as an on-chain asset, and I didn't need to migrate when switching L2s. At that moment, I suddenly felt a sense of relief: the data was finally not stored at someone else's place, but truly back in my own hands.
