Private Domain Copy Trading User Guide ｜ Gate

Gate has launched the brand-new “Private Copy Trading” feature. Private Copy Trading gives traders greater flexibility and enhanced privacy. With this feature, you can set your own profit-sharing ratio—from as low as 0% up to 40%—unlocking your full earning potential. Additionally, only invited users can follow your copy trading strategies, ensuring your fans benefit exclusively from high copy trading returns. This feature also significantly streamlines and improves community management efficiency.

What is Private Copy Trading?

Private Copy Trading is a new copy trading mode introduced by Gate. In this mode, traders can selectively invite users to follow their trades via invitation links only. Non-invited users cannot follow, and traders using Private Copy Trading will not appear in the Copy Trading Square or search results, providing an extra layer of privacy. Existing followers will not be affected and can continue copying the trader’s strategies.
Traders can generate new invitation links by clicking the “Create Link” button, freely setting the link name and the number of invitees, allowing flexible management of copy trading users.

1. How to Enable Private Copy Trading

Click “My Copy Trading Settings” – Toggle the switch on the right of Private Copy Trading – Click Confirm to enable – Successfully enabled

2. How to Create an Invitation Link

Click the “Create Now” button – Enter “Link Name” and “Maximum Number of Invitees” – Link generated successfully

## 3. Share, Edit, or Disable Invitation Links ### 3.1 Share Invitation Link Sharing a link will automatically copy it to your clipboard. Traders can then paste it into their preferred sharing channels. When sharing to external apps, users can click the link to open the app. If it doesn’t open, ask users to copy the link into their default browser. **Click “Share” or the icon on the right of the link** ### 3.2 Edit Invitation Link If the new invitee limit is set lower than the number of users who have already used the link, no new users can be invited. **Click the “...” button – Select “Edit” to open the edit popup** ### 3.3 Disable Invitation Link Disabling an invitation link will not affect users who have already followed via that link. **Click the “...” button – Select “Disable” – Click “Confirm Disable” – Successfully disabled** ## 4. View Link Details **Click the “Details” button – View detailed information about copy trading users** ## 5. Disable Private Copy Trading **Note:** 1. You cannot adjust Private Copy Trading settings unless copy trading mode is enabled. 2. Disabling Private Copy Trading will not affect the viewing of data from already created invitation links, but the links themselves will become invalid. 3. According to Gate’s profit-sharing rules, lowering the profit-sharing ratio takes effect immediately. Therefore, after disabling Private Copy Trading, if the set private profit-sharing ratio is higher than your current level’s default ratio, the profit-sharing ratio for existing followers will automatically decrease to the default ratio for your current level.

Toggle the switch on the right of Private Copy Trading – Click Confirm to disable

Link Styles & User View of Copy Trading Link Status **Link shared to external community** **Valid link, can follow directly** **“This link has reached the maximum number of followers” means the link has reached its invitee limit and cannot be used to follow** **“Only users with a private invitation link can follow” means the user did not access the trader’s page via the invitation link and cannot follow** **“This link is no longer valid” means the trader has disabled the link and it cannot be used to follow**
