Activity Introduction

Q1: What is the Prediction Points activity?

The Prediction Points activity is a trading reward activity for Gate's prediction market. Users who participate in Gate's prediction market trading can earn scratch cards; after using scratch cards, they have the opportunity to win USDT, prediction points, experience vouchers, or the super lucky prize. The prediction points scratched out can participate in the weekly leaderboard ranking, and top-ranked users can share the points prize pool.

Q2: How do I join the activity?

Participation is a three-step process:

  1. Trade to earn cards: Participate in Gate's prediction market trading, and accumulate valid trading volume to earn scratch cards.

  2. Scratch cards to claim prizes: Use scratch cards to get a 100% reward.

  3. Climb the points leaderboard: The prediction points you scratch out are counted toward the corresponding ranking period, participating in the weekly points leaderboard. The top 100 can share the points prize pool.

Q3: Do I need to register for this activity?

No. Users who meet the activity rules and participate in Gate's prediction market trading will have their valid trading volume automatically accumulated and will receive scratch cards. Specific eligibility and the number of scratch cards available are subject to what is actually displayed on the activity page.

Trade to Earn Cards

Q4: How do I earn scratch cards?

Participate in Gate's prediction market trading. When the total trading volume of filled buy and sell orders reaches the specified amount, you can earn scratch cards:

  • Regular prediction market: Earn 1 scratch card for every cumulative 20 USDT traded.

  • Cryptocurrency up/down prediction markets marked with "2x": Earn 1 scratch card for every cumulative 10 USDT traded.

The more you trade, the more scratch cards you can earn.

Q5: Which markets offer the 2x scratch card bonus?

Cryptocurrency up/down prediction markets marked with "2x" are eligible for double card-earning benefits. These currently include BTC and ETH short-term up/down prediction markets marked on the activity page, such as 5-minute, 15-minute, 1-hour, and 4-hour up/down prediction markets. The specific applicable markets are subject to the "2x" mark actually shown on the trading page.

Q6: Do both buy and sell orders count toward trading volume?

Yes. Both filled buy orders and sell orders count toward the activity's valid trading volume and accumulate scratch cards according to the activity rules.

Q7: Which orders do not count toward the activity trading volume?

Only orders confirmed as valid filled orders by the system count toward the activity trading volume. Unfilled orders, canceled orders, refunded orders, and orders deemed invalid due to abnormalities, risk control, or other reasons do not count.

Q8: Why haven't I earned a scratch card even though I've traded?

Scratch cards are accumulated based on valid filled trading volume. If you have not yet reached the cumulative trading threshold for the corresponding market, the system will not issue a full scratch card. Once you reach the threshold, the scratch card will automatically be added to the available amount on the activity page; if the page is not updated in time, please refresh later. The system's final statistics shall prevail.

Scratch Cards and Rewards

Q9: What rewards can I get from scratch cards?

Each valid scratch card comes with one reward, including:

  • USDT rewards: 1–100 USDT.

  • Prediction points: 1–88,888 PTS.

  • Experience vouchers: 5–100 USDT experience vouchers.

  • Super lucky prize: 88,888 PTS + a share of the current lucky grand prize pool.

The specific reward types, reward amounts, and winning probabilities are subject to the activity page and the system's actual distribution results.

Q10: Is there a 100% chance of winning with a scratch card?

Yes. Every valid scratch card comes with a reward, including USDT, prediction points, experience vouchers, or the super lucky prize. The amounts, points, and winning probabilities vary by reward, and the system's draw results shall prevail.

Q11: What is the super lucky prize?

The super lucky prize is a special reward in the scratch card activity. After scratching out the super lucky prize, users receive 88,888 PTS prediction points and participate in sharing the current lucky grand prize pool. If multiple users scratch out the super lucky prize in a given period, the lucky grand prize pool will be divided equally according to the number of winning occurrences in that period. Each time a user scratches out the super lucky prize, they receive 88,888 PTS; the specific prize pool distribution and final credited amount are subject to the system settlement result.

Q12: If I partially scratch a card and then exit the page, will I lose the reward?

No. As soon as you complete the first scratching action within the valid scratch area, that scratch card is deemed used. Even if you exit the page, close the pop-up, or experience network fluctuations, the card will not revert to an unscratched state. You can check the draw result and reward distribution under "Winning Records."

Q13: Can I scratch multiple cards at once?

Yes. You can choose to scratch 1, 5, 10, or 100 cards at a time. If your currently available scratch cards are insufficient, the system will display "Insufficient scratch cards." You can reduce the number of cards to scratch or continue trading to earn more scratch cards.

Q14: Why do I only see a summary after scratching multiple cards at once?

The bulk scratch result pop-up shows a summary of rewards from this batch, such as the total USDT, prediction points, and experience vouchers earned. For the specific draw result, reward type, reward status, and crediting details of each scratch card, please go to "Winning Records."

Q15: What should I do if scratching fails, is loading, or encounters a network error?

While the draw request is being processed, the page will show a loading status. Please wait patiently for the result. If the draw fails due to network timeout, network error, server error, or business validation failure, refresh the page or re-enter the activity page as prompted to view the result. Whether the card has been used and whether the reward has been generated is subject to the system's final records.

Q16: Where can I view my scratch card rewards?

Users can access "Winning Records" from the activity homepage, the scratch panel, or the scratch result pop-up. Winning Records can be filtered by All, Token, Points, and Experience Vouchers, and are displayed grouped by ranking period. For experience vouchers, you can click "Use Now" in the corresponding record to go to Gate's Voucher Center to view details and usage conditions.

Prediction Points and Leaderboard

Q17: How do I earn prediction points?

Prediction points can only be earned through scratch cards. Participating in prediction market trading does not directly give you prediction points; after users reach the corresponding cumulative trading volume and earn scratch cards, the points scratched out will be counted toward the corresponding ranking period.

Q18: What can prediction points be used for?

Prediction points are used for ranking in the leaderboard for the corresponding ranking period. At each weekly settlement, the top 100 users on the leaderboard can receive ranking rewards from the points prize pool according to the ranking rules. Prediction points are only used for activity ranking and are not transferable, withdrawable, or exchangeable for other assets.

Q19: How is the leaderboard ranked?

The leaderboard is ranked by the prediction points users earn in the current period, from highest to lowest. If two or more users have the same number of points, the user who reached that point total first will rank higher.

Q20: How many users are shown on the leaderboard?

Each period, the leaderboard shows the top 100 users. The activity homepage will display your ranking information first; please refer to what is actually shown on the page.

Q21: How are leaderboard ranking rewards distributed?

80% of the current period's total injection is used for leaderboard ranking rewards, with the top 100 distributed as follows:

  • 1st place: 30%

  • 2nd place: 15%

  • 3rd place: 10%

  • 4th–10th place: share 10%

  • 11th–50th place: share 10%

  • 51st–100th place: share 5%

Rewards within the same ranking tier will be divided equally among all eligible users in that tier.

For details, please refer to the "Activity Rules" in the upper-right corner of the activity page.

Q22: When is the leaderboard settled? Do prediction points expire?

The leaderboard operates on weekly cycles. Every Monday at 18:00, the current ranking period is settled and a new period begins. After settlement, the prediction points for the current period are automatically reset to zero and cannot be carried over to the next period or used for the next period's leaderboard ranking.

Q23: Do unused scratch cards expire?

Yes. Scratch cards that have not been scratched during the current ranking period will automatically expire after settlement every Monday at 18:00 and cannot be carried over to the next period. Users are advised to use them in time within the validity period.

Prize Pool and Reward Distribution

Q24: What are the current period's total injection, points prize pool, and lucky grand prize pool?

The activity prize pool is allocated from the current period's total injection:

  • Total injection for the current period: Consists of a fixed injection from Gate, injections from users who successfully scratch scratch cards, and additional platform injections.

  • Points prize pool: 80% of the current period's total injection, used for leaderboard ranking rewards.

  • Lucky grand prize pool: 20% of the current period's total injection, used for super lucky prize winners to share.

During the activity, Gate injects a fixed 10,000 USDT into the prize pool each period; for each scratch card successfully scratched, an additional 0.1 USDT is injected into the prize pool. The platform may also make additional injections based on the actual circumstances of the activity, subject to real-time display on the activity page.

Q25: What happens if no one scratches out the super lucky prize in the current period?

If no user scratches out the super lucky prize in the current period, the lucky grand prize pool will not be cleared; it will automatically roll over to the next period and continue to accumulate. If a user later scratches out the super lucky prize, they can claim the current super lucky prize pool, and if multiple users win, they will split the lucky grand prize pool equally.

Q26: Why does the prize pool amount change?

The prize pool amount is updated due to Gate's fixed injection, injections from users who successfully scratch scratch cards, and additional platform injections. The actual reward amount, final settlement result, and credited amount are subject to system records.

Q27: When will rewards be credited?

Regular scratch card rewards will be distributed according to the system process after the draw succeeds, subject to what is shown in Winning Records. Leaderboard ranking rewards and the super lucky prize will be distributed after the weekly settlement is confirmed and will be completed within 3 business days after settlement confirmation. The final reward status, amount, and crediting result are subject to Winning Records and the actual crediting result.

Fair Participation and Risk Disclosure

Q28: How does the platform handle abnormal trading or cheating?

To ensure fairness in the activity, Gate has the right to investigate abnormal trading, volume inflation, wash trading, bulk account registration, fake trading, cheating, or any other behavior that violates activity rules. If a user is found to have engaged in such behavior or other abnormal situations, Gate has the right to cancel their eligibility, cancel or reclaim related rewards, and reserves the right to take further action.

Q29: If the activity page, Winning Records, and actual crediting results are inconsistent, which one prevails?

Activity rewards, prize pools, eligibility, draw results, and final settlement results are subject to Gate's system records, Winning Records, and actual crediting results.

Q30: Does Gate reserve the final right of interpretation for this activity?

Yes. Gate reserves the right to interpret, adjust, suspend, or terminate the activity rules within the scope permitted by laws and regulations. The activity rules, prizes, eligibility, and final settlement results are subject to the actual page display and system processing results on the Gate platform.
