What Is Gate Money?
Gate Money is a personal funds account within the Gate App. It helps you manage fiat and crypto assets in one place, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, card payments, conversions, Earn products, and QR code payments. No separate app download is required—simply use your Gate account.

1. Get Started With Money
- Update the Gate App to version 8.39.0 or later.
- Make sure you have completed identity verification (KYC) for your Gate account.
- Open the app and tap Money at the top to access it.

- Total Assets: The total value of your fiat and crypto assets, along with the balance of each asset account.
- Quick Actions: Convert, Add, Send, Cards (Gate Card), Earn, and Pay (QR code payments and everyday services).

Q: Do I need to download a separate app to use Money?
No. Money is a section within the Gate App and is linked to your Gate account and identity verification. Update the app to version 8.39.0 or later, then tap Money at the top to get started.
Q: Who can use Money?
Any user who has completed identity verification (KYC) on Gate can use it. Gate Card availability depends on the Card service rules for your region.
Q: I can no longer find Gate Pay. Where did it go?
Gate Pay for individual users has been upgraded to Gate Money. All original features continue to be available in Money within the Gate App, although some entry points have changed. For example, everyday services are now grouped under Pay. If you are a merchant, merchant payment collection services remain under Gate Pay. Please contact merchant customer support.
Q: Is Money a bank?
No. Money provides fintech services such as account management, payments, cards, and asset management. Service providers and terms vary by region and are subject to the User Agreement.
Fiat Deposits and Withdrawals
Q: Which fiat currencies are supported?
Deposits and withdrawals are currently supported for USD, EUR, GBP, and AED via SWIFT international transfers. More fiat currencies and local settlement methods will be launched over time.
Q: What is a bank account in my own name?
A bank account in your own name is a receiving account registered under your legal name, which must match your identity verification information. For standard deposit details, the recipient is the Gate platform. After opening a bank account in your own name, the recipient becomes you. This makes it easier for banks to identify the funds and reduces the risk of review or returns caused by a name mismatch. USD currently supports bank accounts in your own name, while support for other fiat currencies will be introduced over time.
Q: Are there fees for a bank account in my own name?

Q: What if I’m concerned that my bank may review withdrawals from an exchange to my bank account?
We recommend opening a USD bank account in your own name and withdrawing funds to a bank account under your name. This shows the movement of funds as a transfer between accounts belonging to the same person, which can reduce bank reviews caused by a name mismatch. Banks set their own review policies, and Gate cannot guarantee that all transactions will avoid review.

Q: What returns does Earn offer?
Earn offers a range of financial products. For example, the USDT flexible product allows deposits and withdrawals at any time, with a current APR of 3.6% for the first 1,000 USDT and 3% APR for amounts above 1,000 USDT.
