For some coins, such as Cosmos (ATOM) ,BinanceCoin (BNB), NEM (XEM), a memo/tag/message may be required in other exchanges, but not by Gate exchange. You do not need to enter anything when sending them to gate.io.
Please always check the deposit page first. If no memo displaying to you there, no memo is needed.
