Gate is introducing a brand-new points system to thank users for their ongoing support and participation in the Gate ecosystem. By making eligible purchases with your Gate Card, you can earn points that can be redeemed for a variety of digital assets, including BTC, ETH, USDT, and GT.
Additionally, points can be exchanged for even more benefits and services, including but not limited to rewards, trading fee discounts, and other Gate ecosystem privileges, providing users with greater value and flexibility.
How to Earn Reward Points?
At Gate, every purchase you make creates value for you. When you use your Gate Card to make purchases worldwide, you earn points. The higher your VIP level or monthly transaction volume, the faster you accumulate points.
Point multipliers and monthly caps are dynamically increased based on your VIP level and monthly transaction volume. Points are settled and verified after the transaction is completed (usually within 2-3 days), after which they become available for use. You can then visit the Rewards Center to redeem a variety of perks, or enable the auto cashback feature for instant returns.

- The initial card tier is determined by your VIP level at the time of application.
- VIP 5 and above users enjoy points multipliers and cashback benefits according to their VIP level, with no minimum monthly spend required.
- The points multiplier determines how many points you earn per $1 spent. For example, a 1x multiplier means you earn 1 point for every $1 spent.
How to Upgrade?
All users are assigned a default card tier based on their VIP level at the time of card activation. Please refer to the table and examples below:

| • Your Gate VIP 5+ status provides you with a guaranteed minimum points tier, ensuring your points multiplier never falls below your current VIP privileges, regardless of monthly spending fluctuations. • On top of this, VIP users can unlock higher points tiers by increasing their spending. Once unlocked, the higher tier will take effect the following month. If your spending drops below the threshold later, your tier will only fall back to your VIP-guaranteed level, not reset to zero. • If your Gate VIP status changes, your points tier will update accordingly, ensuring your privileges are always optimally matched. |
• All users below VIP 5 are automatically assigned T0 benefits at the start. Once your monthly spending meets the required threshold, you’ll unlock a higher tier and enjoy increased points and cashback rates until the end of the next calendar month. • If you don’t meet the spending requirement in a given month, your tier will be adjusted accordingly. After reaching the threshold, the new tier will take effect the following month. In the future, we’ll update card tiers in real time to ensure users enjoy their benefits for longer periods. |
Examples
Scenario A
On March 20, a VIP 3 user opens a card for the first time and is assigned T0 tier.
On March 25, they make a $1,000 transaction pending settlement.
On March 28, the transaction is confirmed.
On April 1, the user’s card tier is upgraded to T1, effective from April 1 to April 30.
Scenario B
On March 25, a VIP 8 user starts at T2 tier, enjoying a 2% cashback rate.
On March 28, the user’s VIP level is upgraded to VIP 9.
On April 1, the user’s card tier is upgraded to T3, enjoying a 3% cashback rate and a higher cashback cap. The user can continue to enjoy this benefit until their VIP level changes again or they reach a higher spending tier, with new benefits taking effect the following month.
Special case: If a VIP 9 user spends $15,000 on April 25, they unlock T4 tier for the next month. If they lose their VIP status on the same day, they can still enjoy T4 benefits the following month, valid until May 31, since the tier was unlocked through spending.
Scenario C
On August 15, both a VIP 4 user and a VIP 5 user each spend $15,000, unlocking T4 tier and 5% cashback for the following month.
From September 1 to September 30, they both enjoy 5% cashback.
On October 1, if either user’s spending in the previous month was less than 500 U:
- The VIP 4 user will be downgraded to T0 tier.
- The VIP 5 user will be downgraded to T1 tier, corresponding to their VIP level.
