U.S. ADP employment increased by 38k in August; base salaries rose 3.2% year over year
U.S. Automatic Data Processing (ADP) released its latest national employment report on Sept. 2, based on anonymized payroll data from more than 26 million private-sector employees. The report showed that U.S. private-sector employment increased by just 38,000 in August, well below market expectations and marking the slowest growth since January.
