Shanghai Stock Exchange Cross-Border ETF Assets Surge Past 500 Billion Yuan, Up 8-Fold Since 2021

According to Shanghai Stock Exchange official Zhang Bin, on September 3 at the Saudi Capital Market Forum, the SSE's cross-border ETF portfolio surged past 500 billion yuan as of August 2026, with nearly 8-fold growth compared to 2021. The platform plans to expand its cross-border ETF product range to include emerging and mature markets including the Middle East, while strengthening its dual-direction cross-border investment channels. Current offerings cover the U.S., Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia.
