Why Did Electroneum (ETN) Fall in the Last 24 Hours?

Order-book data showed a bid-to-ask depth ratio of 1.66 across the top five levels, with greater aggregate bid volume than ask volume. However, the largest bid and ask were both about 171,000 ETN, suggesting that individual large orders could materially affect a shallow book. The two orders were approximately 170,676 and 170,852 ETN, while total bid and ask volumes were only 65,576.30 and 39,577.50 ETN, respectively; this mismatch in the reported figures warrants caution. Combined volume across the top five levels was about 105,000 ETN, so limited depth could magnify the price impact of trades. A bid-heavy depth ratio alone does not establish price direction. The order prices listed for 2026-10-20, about $0.0019806 and $0.0020399, describe the book at that time, not current quotes. In thin liquidity, changes in orders may contribute to pronounced fluctuations, but these figures alone do not establish a specific event or capital flow as the cause of a price move.

About Electroneum (ETN)

Electroneum is a Layer 1 EVM-compatible blockchain, catering to 4+ million users worldwide. The network boasts transaction speeds of just 5 seconds with instant finality and potentially the lowest smart contract fees available. Powered by the IBFT consensus mechanism and supported by known validators (targeting universities and Web3 infrastructure companies), the network is incredibly fast, secure and energy efficient. ETN provides the backbone for AnyTask.com a successful freelance platform in the crypto space.

Use Cases and Features

ETN is the native cryptocurrency of Electroneum Smart Chain. It is used to pay the Gas fees required for transfers and smart contract execution, which are charges for the network's processing of computation. It can also be used in the network's applications as a means of payment, collateral, or unit of account. ETN does not represent ownership in a company and carries no right to fixed repayment or future profit sharing.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

New ETN is minted by the protocol as a block reward when a block is confirmed through consensus; ordinary users cannot create it themselves. The base Gas fee paid with each transaction is permanently burned. When network demand is high, the ETN burned in a single block may exceed the new reward added to that block, so actual net issuance varies with on-chain activity.
