Chen Maobo: Hong Kong considers converting some commercial land for residential use

According to the latest data from Jinshi on February 26, Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Paul Chan Mo-po, stated today (26th) that considering the relatively sufficient supply in the coming years, the government will not put up for sale commercial land next year, allowing the market space to absorb the current supply. The SAR government will also consider reclassifying some commercial land for residential use and providing more flexibility in use. To facilitate related work, the SAR government will also postpone the deadline for the relocation of the original site of the central commercial land in the Hung Shui Kiu / Ha Tsuen new development area.
