Why Did Request (REQ) Fall in the Last 24 Hours?

During the report window, REQ had no clear project-specific catalyst, and limited liquidity and order-book structure may have amplified the effect of relatively small flows. The hourly candle at 2026-10-28 14:00 UTC recorded volume of about 1,569.58 tokens, with a narrow price range of $0.05144–$0.05161, indicating limited trading activity during that hour. The top-five-level bid-to-ask depth ratio was 0.69, with total ask volume exceeding bid volume. The largest ask was at $0.05197 and a concentrated bid wall was at $0.05073; these could create short-term overhead pressure and support, respectively, but cannot on their own explain the price move. Technical signals were mixed: moving averages were bullish on the 1-hour and 4-hour charts and bearish on the 15-minute and daily charts; RSI was neutral across timeframes, and MACD gave no signal. These data describe liquidity and technical conditions, rather than identifying a clear fundamental driver.

About Request (REQ)

Request is a decentralized network built on the Ethereum network, which allows anyone to initiate a payment request anywhere and provides a secure payment method to the recipient. All data is stored in a decentralized real ledger, creating a financial platform for asset invoices, accounting, auditing and payment standards. That is, a financial platform for enterprise level payment financial audit based on cryptocurrency and blockchain network.

Use Cases and Features

REQ is the native token of Request Network. Request Network is a non-custodial protocol for on-chain payment requests and stablecoin payments, with funds able to move directly between payer and payee wallets. REQ holders can participate in governance of the protocol and its foundation; when a request is stored on-chain, the system triggers the REQ burn mechanism, so its use is linked to the network's on-chain usage activity.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

REQ has a fixed total supply of 1 billion tokens, all allocated at genesis, with no inflation, subsequent issuance, or future unlock schedule. The initial allocation included a public token sale, early contributors, the team and advisors, and the foundation; the network burns some REQ associated with storing payment requests on-chain, reducing the number of tokens in circulation.
